SFC Robert Lee Suttles, US Army, Retired, Korea and Vietnam
The family of SFC Robert Lee Suttles has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders in the Interment of their loved one on Friday, 5 Feb 10 at 1000 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
SFC Robert Lee Suttles, 67, of Harker Heights passed 26 Jan 2010 at a Temple hospital. He was born 23 Mar 1942 in Birmingham, AL and was a Vietnam Veteran who joined the US Army and served his country honorably from 30 Jul 1960 to 30 Aug 1984. After retiring from the Army he worked for a government contractor on Fort Hood, TX and retired again in 2005. Awards include Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Silver and 1 Bronze Service Star, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Good Conduct Medal with Silver Knot. SFC Suttles is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Sharon Suttles, his mother, 4 children, 10 grandchildren, 1 brother, and 4 sisters.

-There will be a short ride to the funeral home where we have been asked to escort SFC Suttles to the CTSVC.
-There will be no flagline at the funeral home.
- Please arrive at staging hydrated, fueled, and fed. Bring water and dress appropriately for wet, chilly conditions.
Cemetery Staging:
For those members who are able to participate only in the cemetery portion, parking will be on side of road directly across from the columbarium. Flag truck will be in place and we will gather there prior to establishing a flagline.

Jim, your first mission was an astounding success - everything from your planning to your briefing to your skills leading the ride were flawless. It wss great that you offered to step in for the missing Chaplain before he finally showed up. Ron, you and your crew made the Columbarium look better than it ever has. Great idea - your layout is a keeper!
