Interment at CTSVC


The family of MAJ James Rowe Cox, 72, has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Interment of their loved one on Thursday, 25 Feb 10, 1300, at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Killeen, TX.

MAJ Cox retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service as an Army pilot. During this time, he served two tours in Vietnam and received the following medals: Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Aviator Badge, Senior Army Aviator Badge, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Silver Star and Palm, Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star Medal, Air Medal Numeral 17 with "V" Device, Army Commendation Medal, Presidential Unit Commendation (Army), National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal with Silver Star and two Bronze Service Stars

Staging Location: Cul-de-sac between the Memorial Shelter and the Walk of Heroes

Time: 1200

Briefing: 1210

Note: Once we are cleared to move to the shelter, we will establish a flagline and await the arrival of MAJ Cox.

WX: 61F, precipitation 10%, wind S at 17mph, mostly sunny

Please arrive hydrated, bring water for yourself and a buddy, and dress appropriately for the weather.
