It's with a heavy heart that I ask CenTex to prepare for the arrival, escort and burial of a friend, Cpt. Rowdy J. Inman. I served with Cpt. Inman when he was a NCO. He was a good man. It's a great loss to all Americans.

Cpt Inman arrived at Dover, Maryland yesterday and will be ready for transport to Robert Gray Army Airfield on Fort Hood, Texas as soon as his brother and escort join him at Dover AFB.

I expect Cpt. Inman will be in Killeen no sooner than Tuesday, 1 Jan 2008. It's much more realistic that he arrive on Wednesday or Thursday of next week.

His family wishes for a Friday memorial service. There will be no graveside service since Cpt. Inman is to be cremated.

Please stand by for more information as it is received. We will need some RC volunteers to assist with the Airport Ceremony and escort from Fort Hood to Harper Talasek funeral Home on 38th Street in Killeen.

After speaking with the CAO, it looks as if Rowdy will arrive at Robert Gray Army Airfield on Tuesday. His escort arrived in Dover yesterday.

Awaiting for exact time and day of Cpt. Inman's arrival from the CAO. For the new members; we will have very short notice concerning the arrival. Check your email and the website at least once in the morning and once in the evening after 1630 hours. It's been our experience that DoD will notify the CAO of flight times around 1600 hours tha day before a KIA is to arrive.

I spoke to the Casualty Asst. Officer for 3rd ACR just a few minutes ago. The Airport accompanyment will definately be on Tuesday, 1 Jan 2008 for Cpt. Inman. We do not have a time yet. I should get the exact arrival time tomorrow.

Harry, will you be doing the airport liason work? I was told we had to have a rep at the airport tomorrow at 1100 hours for a dress rehearsal and that we must provide the name and SSN of the PGR rep for access to Fort Hood. I refused to provide that information because, frankly, I don't have it (SSN).

Stand by for further information...

I will plan on being the PGR representative at the airport on Tuesday. For those who are not familiar with what goes on out there let me explain a little bit.

They typically hold a rehearsal prior to the event but I have never attended this rehearsal since we are not involved with the duties being rehearsed.

They will only allow one person from PGR to attend the arrival ceremony and escort from the airport ramp. All of the ceremony on the ramp is conducted by the military without PGR involvement of any type. Our only duty is to escort the motorcade out of the airport secure area to the WFH gate. It is at that gate where the Patriot Guard escort will join the motorcade and proceed to the funeral home.

Staging times will be provided as soon as we know them.
