The family of WWII veteran Alvis Baker has asked for the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at his interment service on Thursday, 5 February 2009 at 1400 hours.

Mr Baker will be interred at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.

To facilitate this request, PGR is asked to stage at CTSVC no sooner than 1300 hours and no later than 1330 hours on Thursday, 5 February 2009.

There is no RC yet for this mission. If one should volunteer prior to all the planning and contacts being accomplished, one will be assigned. If not, carry on as we always do as a family of patriots in honor of this American Hero.

Be standing there with you Marebear. All of our veterans are special but our WWII vets are disappearing so quickly I can't stand the thought of not being there to honor them.

I'll be there, it still amazes me what this "greatest generation" did back then. We continue to have the greatest warriors in our services today. I think Mr Baker for his service, and our freedom...

I offer my condolences to the family and friends of Alvis Baker for the loss of this AMERICAN WAR HERO who will never be forgotten. May you rest in the arms of our Lord with your brothers-in-arms who have passed on before you.

What a great turn out today for this American Patriot. 27 bikes and 4 cages. Patriot Guard outnumbered the family this time. The family was very appreciative for your efforts today too.

Thank you all for showing these folks they are not forgotten.
