Hey Marebear,

With distance hindering my ability to commit to a Committee, I will do everything in my power to be there in September. If I get back to Texas before then, I will be sure to check in with ya'll.

Would there be a call for, like, maybe local cycle shops around the area to provide "goodies" for sale and gain a little visibility for themselves as well? Not only for sale but raffled off or donated as prizes. If so, I know most of the local cycle shops and could ask around. tunnel rat

marebear : With our working closely with Ft Hood during the GOTG, one question sticks in my mind. Will Ft Hood relax the PPE requirement for the sake of our out of state Brothers ? tunnel rat
marebear_56 on 02/05/2010 17:32:56
Charles,

Yes, we will be accepting goodies from any local (or distant) businesses who want to donate them

Nope, Fort Hood cannot relax their PPE requirements for visitors if they are requiring them for the soldiers. Not gonna happen.
tunnel rat on 02/06/2010 08:42:54
I guess that a message be forwarded to the administrators of our "sister" groups that they should include the PPE in their packing list prior to departure. (Just a suggestion)

Hey Mary, As I don't want to flood you un-needed phone calls, I am requesting a point of contact number and/or name as I know most of the dealers and cycle shops in the area and want to get in touch with them and let them know what's up and see if they would want to participate in any way. Is this a good idea or should I hold off on this project?
