 | 2010 Gathering of the Guard | |
 | As most of you know, this is the ultimate yearly gathering of the Patriot Guard Riders. Last year it was hosted by the Utah Patriot Guard Riders and it was a smashing success! The National Board of Directors, after reviewing many excellent proposals, has selected Texas to host next year's gathering.
With our abundance of talented, capable, experienced and motivated members to volunteer in making this event a success, this will be the best gathering yet and will afford us Texans the opportunity to show the nation why we are so great. Our state is rich in history, Patriots and riding opportunities and we now have the opportunity to share our blessings with the rest of the nation's Patriot Guard Riders.
As stated in our proposal to the Board of Directors, Patriot Guard Riders thoughout the nation will be saying,
"I got here as fast as I could!" | | | | |

I think that koyote or apache pass is too far south that is hill country we need to stage in centex area with possible rides to the hill country. Also we need to seperate because then each event can showcase itself. Ron. |

Just sitting here brain storming.....It might be a good idea to talk with the local chamber of comerces since there might be a boost the economy.
How about the Bell County Expo for a gathering point? I am willing to go talk to them if needed. Easy access to and from and a nice faucility. |

That was awesome. I hope to attend and help in some way. I finally got my flags!
I hope you will consider involving local EMS as well. They are a valuable resource for safety as well. I may be a little biased on that one!

We have done H.O.G. and R.O.T. bikers convention in San Marcos Texas and there are plenty of hill country to do rides. The Embassy Suites Hotel and Covention Center would be a great place. I can help communicate with them if needed. But where ever it takes place I will be there, |

Hey Guys and Gals, great to know that the Gathering of the Guard is in the Centex region, hope to be home for that one, depending on deployments, if so willing to participate on this one, meet new people as well, also willing to help as much as possible. |

Has there been any plans or group put together to support the gathering here in Centex? concerts, rides, routes, hotels, local community events, etc...? |

I can also offer to have my house by stilhouse lake available for one of the stops, since everyone can .literaly see the marina from there, to include 2 acres behind it with a decent sized driveway, it will only depend on if i sell it before then or if i get deployed again depending on which one comes first |
