Maj Gary Brown, 86, US Air Force, Retired, of Belton, TX

The family of Major Gary Brown has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One.

In 1963, Gary began a notable career as an Air Force officer, serving with distinction at Minot Air Force Base. Throughout his military journey, he earned numerous commendations including the Meritorious Service Medal with one oak leaf cluster, the Air Force Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, and the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with three oak leaf clusters. His dedication was further recognized with awards such as the National Defense Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award with three oak leaf clusters, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Small Arms Expert Medal, and the prestigious Basic Missileman, Senior Missileman, and Master Missileman badges. His expertise extended to roles as a missile launch officer and ballistic missile staff, showcasing his leadership and technical skills in critical defense operations. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.

WX: A chance of showers before 0700, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 0700 and 1300, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1300. Partly sunny, with a high near 93. South wind around 5 mph becoming east in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

2. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.

CPL Donald Ray Simons, Us Army, Veteran, UNACCOMPANIED 

The staff of the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of this Unaccompanied Veteran.

Donald served in the US Army from July 18, 1958 to April 17, 1961. No other information is known about this Veteran at this time.

The members of US Veterans Motorcycle Club have invited the Patriot Guard Riders to join them on their monthly visit to the William R Courtney Veterans home in Temple, TX to visit with the Veterans in the home.
