AT1 Christopher Lee Pelton, 54, US Navy, Retired, UNACCOMPANIED, of Waco, TX
HONOR MISSION
The staffs of the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery and Youngs Daughters Funeral Home and Bereavement Center have requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of this Unaccompanied Veteran.
Enlisting in the United States Navy in July of 1990, Christopher devoted two decades to honorable service, retiring in July of 2010. Throughout his military career, he exemplified commitment and excellence. For six years, he served as a Consolidated Automated Support System Test Station IMA Calibration/Advanced Maintenance Technician, showing a deep mastery in this highly specialized field. He then dedicated eleven more years as an AN/USM-629 Electro Optic Test Set Operator/Maintainer, before serving the last thirteen years of his career as a Consolidated Automated Support System Test Station IMA Operator/Maintainer. His steadfast professionalism and technical expertise distinguished him throughout these assignments. Christopher retired as a Aviation Electronics Technician Petty Officer First Class.
Christopher’s service was recognized through numerous commendations and medals, a testament to his valor and sacrifice. Among the honors he received are the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Meritorious Unit Commendation, the Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon, the Southwest Asia Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and the Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist Insignia. These medals speak to his courageous spirit and selfless service during critical moments in our nation’s history. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the Veteran.
WX: Sunny and hot, with a high near 101. South southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Notes:
1. Be at staging ON TIME.
2. Be prepared to volunteer as pallbearers, if asked by the Cemetery Director.
3. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.

HONOR MISSION
The family of Aviation Ordnanceman Airman Cary Williford has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One.
Cary answered the call to serve his country, and joined the Navy in 1988. Stationed in California until 1992, Cary’s commitment and excellence did not go unnoticed. He received numerous honors during his service, including the Battle "E" Award, National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Humanitarian Service Medal, Expert Pistol distinction, and the Good Conduct Medal.
