SFC James B. Deeter U.S. Army, Ret
The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family of James B. Deeter to participate in the service of their loved one. James joined the U.S. Army when he was 17 yrs old and started out as a dental assistant. He requested a change in his occupational assignment and was placed in the EOD where he worked with explosives. He was deployed to Germany and Viet Nam and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in combat. He retired with the rank of Sergeant First Class. www.harrellfuneralhomes.com/services.asp
Directions: Frontier Trail runs south from the frontage rd. of Ben White Blvd just east of South Lamar Blvd. When traveling west on Ben White, take the turn around at Ben White and move immediately to the right lane to turn right on Frontier Trl. Notes: Arrive fed, hydrated, and bring a bottle of water for yourself and one for a friend. Sunblock is recommended. This mission will be a flag line only at the funeral home, there will be no procession. Interment will be on Nov. 19th , 9:30am, at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
