The family of Sergeant First Class Shayne Dumas has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral Service and Interment of their Loved One. For those interested, there will be a visitation at the funeral home on Sunday, 26 Aug 13 from 1600 to 1800.
Shortly after graduating High School in 84, Shayne felt a call to serve his country and enlisted in the US Army. Shayne had the privilege and honor of serving at Fort Riley, KS, Fort Sill, OK, South Korea and twice in Germany. Most of his Army career he was stationed at Fort Hood in Texas. During his time with the army, our Nation needed him and he served in Operation Desert Storm and served two tours as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. After 21 years of dedicated service to his Nation, Shayne retired from active duty. He remained in the Killeen area where he worked for International Motors. Shayne found great joy in being active with the American Legion Post 573 & their Riders as well as the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
