The family of Command Sergeant Major Max B Ogas has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders in the Procession and Interment of their Loved One.
Max joined the Army at the age of 16. He was in combat in Korea and Vietnam. He was a soldier's soldier, combat leader. His decorations and awards include the World War II Victory Medal; Silver Star Medal; Presidential Unit Commendation; United Nations Service Medal; Bronze Star Medal w/ "V" device & 2 Oak Leaf Clusters; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry w/ Palm; Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Commendation; Purple Heart Medal; Vietnam Service Medal w/ 1 Silver Service Star; Legion of Merit. 1. There will be NO flagline at Crawford-Bowers, though we will participate in the procession to CTSVC where we will establish a flagline for the Interment Service.
Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery located off TX 195 just south of Killeen, TX (http://tinyurl.com/CenTexVetsCeme)
Briefing: 1215 - Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags and await arrival of the procession.
