CSM Scott Patrick Rodke, 80, US Army, Retired, Vietnam Veteran, OF Temple, TX
The family of Command Sergeant Major Rodke has requested the participation and presence of the Patriot Guard Riders in the Procession and at the Interment Service of their Loved One.
Scott was a proud Infantryman and retired from the US Army as Command Sergeant Major in 77, after almost 24 years of service, including four tours in Vietnam. His proudest moment was his promotion to Command Sergeant Major and appointment as Commandant of the NCO Academy at Fort Hood. He requested that his headstone be inscribed with, "INFANTRYMAN - HE GAVE A DAMN." Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery located off TX 195 just south of Killeen, TX (http://tinyurl.com/CenTexVetsCeme)
Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
