SSG Devin Schuette, 35, US Army, ACTIVE DUTY, Killeen, TX
The family of Staff Sergeant Devin Schuette has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral Service and Interment of their Loved One.
Devin passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016 on Fort Hood. His service with the United States Army began on April 27, 1999. He was a devoted husband and father and loved hiking, biking, fishing and many other outdoor activities. He and his family have been at Ft Hood since 2013 coming from Ft Huachuca, AZ. Devin was preceded in death by his father in 2009 and by five unborn children. Flagline Establishment: 1225 +/- Once the Funeral Service begins; we will strike the flagline and prepare to participate in the procession to the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery located off TX 195 just south of Killeen, TX (http://tinyurl.com/CenTexVetsCeme)
Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the family.
WX: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 65. South wind 5 to 15 mph.
