David Charles Attaway, Sr, 66, US Army Vietnam Veteran, Firefighter, Police Officer and Paramedic, OF Elm Mott, TX
The family of David Attaway has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral Service and Interment of their Loved One.
David joined the US Army in 1966, attending basic training in Fort Polk, LA and attended advanced engineer training at Fort Leonardwood, MO. He went on to jump school and Special Forces school at Fort Benning, GA. David served three tours in Viet Nam with the 5th Special Forces Group and the 18th Engineers. He was in Viet Nam during the Tet Offensive. He attended Officers’ Candidate School between tours in Viet Nam. After being honorably discharged from the Army in 1972, he became a fire fighter, a police officer and a paramedic before settling in to be a truck driver.
