SFC Martin M Garcia, Jr, 75, US Army, Retired, Vietnam Veteran and Bronze Star Recipient, Killeen, TX
The family of Sergeant First Class Martin M Garcia has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Interment of their Loved One.
Martin served tours of duty in Germany, Korea and Vietnam. He was a very decorated veteran having earned Bronze Star during his service in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge from the Army he served 20 years of civil service at Fort Hood. Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery located off TX 195 just south of Killeen, TX (http://tinyurl.com/CenTexVetsCeme)
Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
WX: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 91. South wind 5 to 10 mph.
Notes:
1. Be at staging ON TIME.
2. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
