Tec5 George Wood Dayton, 94, US Army, WWII Veteran, Purple Heart Recipient, Gatesville, TX

The family of Technician Fifth Class George Dayton has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral and Committal Services of their Loved One.

George entered the National Guard and served two years. He then was activated into the US Army on October 15, 1940. He served during WWII in the Pacific and was honorably discharged on November 11, 1945. He was a Purple Heart recipient. He was a member the American Legion and a lifetime member of the DAV. Flagline Establishment: 1425 +/- Once the Funeral Service begins; we will strike the flagline and quietly depart to establish another flagline at Buckhorn/Moody-Leon Cemetery, Moody, TX 76557 (http://tinyurl.com/Buckhorn-Moody-LeonCeme)

WX: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 88. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Notes:

1. BRING KICKSTAND PADS OR CAGE IT, if the weather is nasty.

2. Be at staging ON TIME and TOPPED OFF.

3. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
