Edward Merrick, US Navy Veteran, Medically Discharged, UNCLAIMED, of Temple, TX
The staffs of the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery and Hewett-Arney Funeral Home in Temple have requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of this Unclaimed Navy Veteran.
Edward served in the US Navy from October 1972 to April 1973, when he was medically discharged. The Funeral Home could find no relatives. No other information is known at this time.

Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the Veteran.
WX: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Cloudy, with a high near 86. South wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Notes:
1. Be at staging ON TIME.
2. Be prepared to volunteer as pallbearers, if asked by the Cemetery Director.
3. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
