MSG Leroy Williams, 69, US Army, Retired, Vietnam Veteran, of Killeen, TX
The family of Master Sergeant Leroy Williams has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One.
Leroy enlisted in the United States Army in 1968 where he served his country for twenty four years before being honorably discharged. During his service in the military, he achieved the following medals and awards: The Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation with Palm, Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award), Army Commendation Medal (2nd Award), Army Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal (7th Award), Non-commissioned Officer’s Professional Development Ribbon with Numeral 3, Army Service Ribbon, Oversees Service Ribbon (4th Award), and the Sharpshooter Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
WX: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 90. Light and variable wind becoming east southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
