SSG Lee Thompson II, 70, US Army, Retired, OF Elgin, TX
The family of Staff Sergeant Lee Thompson II has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One.
Lee joined the United States Army in 1972 and served our country for twenty years, earning the rank of Staff Sargent and retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #328. His entire obituary may be found here: http://www.providencejonesfuneralhome.com/obituary/lee-thompson-ii

Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
WX: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 56. Light south wind becoming south southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
Notes:
1. Be at staging ON TIME.
2. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the funeral service for SSgt Lee David Thompson. SSG Thompson enlisted in the US Army in 1972 and served his country for 20 years, retiring in 1992.
Date/Time: Tuesday, 15 January 2019. Funeral service begins at 10 am.
Location: Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home, 604 TX-95, Elgin, TX 78621. We will stage at the funeral home.

Wx: 55 deg F, cloudy.
Notes: Bring a bottle of water for yourself and one for a friend. This mission is a flag line only at the funeral home. After the start of the funeral service we will strike the flag line and depart quietly. Burial service will take place the same day at 2 pm at CTSVC in Killeen. Centex PGR will be in attendance.
