SFC Joseph Hill Sr, 60, US Army, Retired, OF Minot, ND
The family of Sergeant First Class Joseph Hill Sr has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral and Committal Services of their Loved One.
Joseph enlisted into the US Army on November 20, 1979. He spent the next twenty years of his professional life at various military installations throughout the US, Germany and Korea. He served honorably in Operation Desert Shield/Storm and retired on November 30, 1999 from Ft Hood, TX. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
WX: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. South wind 5 to 10 mph.
Notes:
1. Be at staging ON TIME.
2. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
3. A mask or face covering will be mandatory, due to the mandate from the State of Texas.
George showed up and helped with establishing the flagline before he left to join the other mission. He had asked though if I'd need him and I told him I'll be okay. I stood with the service flag during the committal service, and the family thanked me for being there.
