LTC Joel Roger Steine, 87, US Army, Retired, Vietnam Veteran, Legion of Merit Recipient, of Killeen, TX
The family of Lieutenant Colonel Joel Roger Steine has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One.
Joel joined the US Army on October 10, 1954 and trained in several specialties, including Transportation Management, Systems, Analyst, and Aviation Logistics, and fought in Vietnam. He was also trained to be a flight instructor and earned several medals during his career, including the Republic of Vietnam Service Medal, Legion of Merit with two oak leaf clovers, Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm, and the Distinguished Flying Cross. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
