The staffs of the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery and Lake Shore Funeral Home have requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of these Unaccompanied Veterans.
Private First Class Roy Garvin Mize Jr, a United States Army Veteran, served in the US Army from May 19, 1966 to July 19, 1968 and received the Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, and a Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Petty Officer Third Class David Aaron Mitschelen, a United States Navy Veteran, served in the US Navy from June 9,1965 to June 6, 1969, and received the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and a National Defense Service Medal.
Hull Maintenance Technician Third Class Jack Dewain Fay, a United States Navy Veteran, served in the US Navy from March 7, 1969, to January 5, 1973, and received a National Defense Service Medal.

Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the Veteran.

1. Be at staging ON TIME.
2. Be prepared to volunteer as pallbearers, if asked by the Cemetery Director.
3. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
