MSgt Jack Smith, 83, US Air Force Reserves, Retired, Vietnam/Gulf War Veteran, of Copperas Cove, TX
The family of Master Sergeant Jack Smith has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One.
Jack entered the USAF Reserves in 1961 and retired in 1991, after having earned the rank of Command Master Sergeant. During his twenty five year military tenure, he served in the Aeromedical Evac Worldwide, fifty states, and thirteen countries. He saw action in the Vietnam era, the Berlin Crisis, and Desert Storm. His military awards, Kuwait Freedom medal, AF Commendation ribbon, and many more medals, ribbons, and accolades. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
WX: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1300. Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. South wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
