CSM Sammy Petty, 87, US Army, Retired, Vietnam Veteran, Bronze Star Recipient, of Harker Heights, TX
The family of Command Sergeant Major Sammy Petty has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One.
Sammy proudly served thirty two years in the US Army, where he earned numerous medals including the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal. After retiring from the Army, Sam was fortunate to become the manager of the Fort Hood Sportsman Center. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
WX: Sunny and hot, with a high near 105. South wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph
