SK3 Marshall Ray Gordon, 78, US Navy, Vietnam Veteran, of Temple, TX
The family of Storekeeper Third Class Marshall Gordon has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One.
Marshall was drafted into military service after he graduated high school. He enlisted in the Navy on June 7, 1968, through the Naval Air Station in Dallas, Texas. Marshall was stationed at Naval Reserve Manpower Center in Bainbridge, Maryland, where he served until September 20, 1969. During his service, he earned accolades such as the Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal. During his one year deployment to Vietnam he earned the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal with One Bronze Star. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
WX: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 87. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
