SFC Sam McKenzie, 68, US Army, Retired, of Killeen, Texas
The family of Sergeant First Class Sam McKenzie has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Procession and Committal Services of their Loved One.
Sam joined the Army August 1978, served as a Combat Engineer, and retired July 31,1998 with the rank of Sergeant First Class. During his career, Sam obtained many metals of honor including the good conduct medal (6th award) Army Commendation medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon #3//, Army Service Medal, Marksman Badge Rifle, Defense Service Medal W/1 Service Star and overseas service ribbon numeral 3. Setup & Briefing: Upon arrival and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
WX: Partly sunny, with a high near 93. South wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

2. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
3. Only PGR motorcycles will be permitted to participate in this procession.
