SA Jimmie Carroll Dittmar, 76, US Navy, Vietnam Veteran, of Moody, TX
The family of Seaman Apprentice Jimmie Dittmar has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One.
A proud veteran, Jimmie enlisted in June 1967 and served as a Ship's Serviceman on the USS Chicago. He received several commendations for his service, including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon. His military service was one of his proudest accomplishments, reflecting his deep love for God and country. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
WX: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. South wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
