SP4 Patrick Sean McWain, 59, US Army, Vietnam Veteran, of Temple, TX, UNACCOMPANIED
The staffs of the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery and Scanio-Harper Funeral Home have requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of this Unaccompanied Veteran.
US Army Veteran Specialist Patrick Sean McWain was born on March 17, 1950. SP4 McWain served from August 15, 1968 to March 8, 1972. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal W/60 Device for his service to our country. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the Veteran.
WX: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
Notes:
1. Be at staging ON TIME.
2. Be prepared to volunteer as pallbearers, if asked by the Cemetery Director.
3. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
