SHORT NOTICE HONOR MISSION
Veteran James “Butch” Holcomb, 83, US Navy, Veteran, of Troy, TX


The family of Veteran James "Butch" Holcomb has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One.

James joined the United States Navy after high school, where he served aboard the world's first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier called the USS Enterprise. At the time, it was the most tactically flexible aircraft carrier on the seas for extended periods of time. Two years later, due to injury, Butch was honorably medically discharged. KSU: 1310 +/- at the discretion of the Ride Captain.

WX: Mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 94. Heat index values as high as 105. South wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Notes:

1. Be at staging ON TIME

2. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.

3. Space will be limited for parking at the cemetery; we're going to meet at the church and carpool.
