2025 Snowball Express Killeen Send Off
!! PLEASE READ ALL THE NOTES BELOW !!
The Patriot Guard Riders have again been invited to send off the Gold Star Families participating in this year's Snowball Express. This year, we are also invited to go to the gate and visit with the Gold Star families and volunteers before we go to the tarmac.
Date: Sat, 6 Dec 25
Staging Time: 0545
Staging Location: Park at the short term parking near the north gate, then go inside the airport at the north entrance. (https://tinyurl.com/killeennorth)
Briefing: 0555 - PLEASE BE ON TIME!
Flagline Establishment: 0705 +/- Depending on flight arrival time.
WX: Please check the forecast prior to attending.
Notes:
1. Be at staging ON TIME.
2. NO WEAPONS OF ANY KIND!
3. Due to Security Procedures, the only vehicle allowed in the gate will be the flag truck. After the briefing, the Ride Captain will call the airport to have security escort us to the families and the festivities. All riders will have to go through the regular security checkpoint if they not with the group when let in.
4. We will establish a flagline on the tarmac for the families to walk through on their way to the aircraft. Departure time is scheduled for 0735.
5. This is not a sullen occasion, so Christmas attire, clapping, cheering, handshaking and hugging IS encouraged as the families pass us!
6. Arrive hydrated and bring water for yourself and a buddy.
7. Check the weather and dress appropriately for the conditions. Remember, the tarmac can get VERY windy!

We don’t care what you ride or if you ride, what your political views are, or whether you’re a hawk or a dove. It is not a requirement that you be a veteran. It doesn’t matter where you’re from or what your income is; you don’t even have to ride. The only prerequisite is Respect.
