Members,
I just received this flyer (pasted at the bottom) from our State Captain, Mike. I highly encourage anyone wishing to attend to do so. Watch our website for updates. Also keep an eye on the Austin Website to see if they plan to ride in from their area. If no updates/stagings are posted, please feel free to just show up!
Wreaths Across America is a wonderful program. Here is the Texas list of participating Cemeteries: https://secure2.convio.net/waa/site/SPageServer/;jsessionid=0F25790A62E00DFE16050A9232F2E2A6.app262a?pagename=searchmap.
You notice that the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery does not have a coordinator listed here. Possibly because the Friends of the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery has been doing a Wreath Laying there since 2006. If you recall that’s the one we participate in yearly. Here are links to them: http://www.wreathsforvets.org/ https://www.facebook.com/WreathsForVets

Members,
This is a community event program that involves each member of the Patriot Guard Riders who attends Funeral Services at a National Cemetery during the month of December. This is the Kick off event to start Wreaths Across America. Each year this program has grown and now is large enough to provide wreaths for most of the grave sites in all the National Cemeteries in Texas. With your help and support we can help more and more people know about the program.
This years Kick-off event on the steps of the Texas Capital Building is planned to be a large event and they are asking for the Patriot Guard Riders of Texas to be a big part of the event. Plan to come, bike or cage.
Mike Lambert
State Captain
