From LilDragon: Today was a great turnout. We had 12 members (10 adults and 2 kids), and I gave the two kids a "first time" pin. They were so proud.
Not knowing what will happen we established the flagline at 1020 to make sure we're there in case they arrive early. And it wasn't as hot as it was a few days ago even though plenty warm in the sun, but sometimes overcast helped.
We did the same we did last week, lined up outside the gate on both sides of the "road" that goes through the gate, just that this time we were many. 20 mins before 11 they arrived, lead by several PGR on bikes (PGR Austin, maybe some others, don't know), followed by the family. And we stood tall and silent. We got a big compliment from Mark (Wells) the RC from Austin PGR. Hippie talked to him (they know each other) and he then told me that Mark said that he was very impressed the way we looked when they arrived, looking great the way we stood in the flag line.
He's been PGR and RC for ages, already back then when I started PGR, so I think we can be proud to have received this compliment from him about our CenTex group.
